Exchange students

Greetings! We would like you to read something about our beautiful country, so let’s start!

Why should you visit Croatia? You’re asking the wrong question, it’s: Why shouldn’t you? A small, weirdly shaped country with incredible geographical and cultural variety, Croatia is a hidden gem that is located right between central and southeast Europe. With the gorgeous Adriatic coast being a magnet for tourists, breathtaking flat plains in the eastern part of the country and magnificent hills and mountains separating the plains from the coast, there are many sights to see.

If you visit Croatia, you might not just fall in love with its beauty, you might have to avoid the scale when you return home. Croatian cuisine is incredibly diverse, and most importantly, really, really tasty.

There’s something for everybody in Croatia. If you’re young and adventurous, the many iconic beaches and summer festivals on the coast are just the thing for you. However, if you prefer a more quiet vacation, our numerous national parks are a must, while the country’s rural tourism has recently started to flourish as well.

Four million people may not be a lot, but we are a proud nation that has lots of iconic historical figures known all around the world, as well as globally recognized athlete superstars. Nikola Tesla, the inventor of alternating current, who helped usher in the second industrial revolution, was Croatian.  Janica Kostelić is the most successful female alpine skier in the history of the sport, while Croatia also has a Wimbledon champion, Goran Ivanišević. The country’s football and handball teams are also forces to be reckoned with.

Countless popular travel websites can’t all be wrong when they say that Croatia is the latest „it“ destination. Who wouldn’t want to visit the land where Khaleesi’s dragons from Game of Thrones first took flight? And even if you’re not a fan of the show, which regulary shoots in Dubrovnik, you won’t be disappointed with what Croatia has to offer. The country’s rich history, tradition and culture will surely impress you.

If you want read more about our cities, culture, hospitals or anything else. Visit this: MORE INFO!

We have also made a video for you, but keep in mind that this is only a tiny part of Croatia! Enjoy!

      Hello,
the best way to check this out is to contact the SCOPE person in your country/college. She/he should know if our countries have an agreement for exchange! 🙂
